Bernadette and Jen

Bernadette Dezzara (born on February 28, 1948, at Ozone Park Queens New York) is a famous American performer, actress and storyteller of children's books. Bernadette Peters has in the past five decades starred in television shows, films and in solo performances. She has received seven Tony Awards nominations, two of which she won as well as the other eight Drama Desk Awards. Grammy Awards have been won with four Broadway recording of cast performances where Peters was a part of. Peters began her acting career performing on stage during the 1960s when she was an teen, then later in 1970s in television and film. She was praised for this earlier work as well as for her appearances on The Muppet Show The Carol Burnett Show and in other television work and for her roles in films like Silent Movie The Jerk Pennies from Heaven and Annie. In the year 1980, she decided to return to Broadway and was one of the top performers of this stage over the next thirty years. She has also released six solo albums and several singles, as well as several cast albums. In addition, she performs regularly in her own solo act. Peters has also continued to appear in films and on television where she has been recognized for her work with three Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards winning at least once.
